Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday fall was beginning, and yet, here we are looking down the barrel at winter this very moment. That’s just how time is, seeming to go by faster and faster. In no time at all, we will be in the new year, and you could be on your way to a new career!
In these next few weeks, as you visit with family and shop for the holidays, you could also be preparing to begin your career training as a pediatric dental assistant!
Many people just drift from job to job through their lives; it’s an unfortunate necessity for many people, but it doesn’t have to be for you. Most people are hesitant to pursue a career change because they think that means years invested into a new education, tens of thousands of dollars of debt.
Career training programs are turning that old model on its head. Traditional education has its perks, but the future is all about job specialty training. Don’t spend years investing your efforts in areas that don’t even relate to your field. Instead, focus on the skills you need and you can be done in weeks.

Within a dental practice, doctors like to focus their efforts on things that only they can do, getting assistance and delegating other patient care to their assistants, much in the same way nurses assist physicians at hospitals. They provide the technical help that the dentist needs while also being the face of the office, preparing and caring for patients.

Take the time now to prepare for your future; it will be here before you know it. Our next course begins January 9th, 2016, and you don’t want to miss out. As our space is limited and classes fill up very quickly, you will want to register as soon as possible.
Classes can be completed in as little as 10 weeks, which means before April, you could be starting a new career as a certified pediatric dental assistant. Rhea M. Haugseth, DMD maintained a private practice in Marietta, GA from 1982- 2017. She attended the University of Louisville Dental School and completed her pediatric dental residency at Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital / Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is proud to be a Fellow the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy – National Honorary Organizations for Dentists.
Dr. Haugseth is a Past President of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry (SSPD), and the Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry(GaPD). Dr. Haugseth has been a National Spokesperson for the AAPD since 1989 and has been frequently interviewed for radio, print, and national television.
Dr. Haugseth is the Founder (2013) and Director of the Atlanta Pediatric Dental Assistant School in Atlanta Georgia. She is also the Founder (2014) and Director of the Pediatric Dental Team Association. She is committed to pediatric dental team members and continues to develop ways to enhance their knowledge and skills both in and out of the dental office.
